There’s A Pattern I See

There’s a pattern I see
In the rise and fall of vast lands,
Like the waves of grief and joy
Through the fortune lanes on our hands

There’s a story I see
Through the holes etched on my soul,
All the faith I’ve been holding onto
Insecurities come pouring out as a whole

There’s a depth I see
When I stare blankly at plain walls,
Beyond the person I’m sitting to
Is that how transcendence calls?

There’s a reality I see
In the places I visit when I sleep,
Building a home in the new world
Jumping along while someone counts sheep

There’s a power I see
In my urge to express what’s inside,
Refusing the weight of acceptance
The conflict of words that starts to collide

There’s a portrait I see
When you close your eyes in embrace,
Like a soft wind running through your hair
And a distinct peace settled on your face

There’s a new person I see
When you pray to your divine,
The pain reflects in tears you shed
How you turn formless at his shrine

What do you see?
Through the kaleidoscope of life
Horizons expanding or universe collapsing,
Roars of a lion or tales of a wise.
